Andean condor (Vultur gryphus) is a species of bird in the Cathartidae family living in South America. The order to which his family belongs in dispute. It stretches from the Andes mountain range to adjacent coasts of the Pacific. It is larger bird can fly in the planet. It has no subspecies. Its name comes from the Quechua Cuntur.

It is a scavenger. Reaches sexual maturity at 5 to 6 years nestles between 1000 and 5000 meters, usually in inaccessible rock formations. It has a very low reproductive rate and are expected to at least lay an egg every two years. It is one of the longest-lived birds and can reach the age of 50 years.

DAILY DEPARTURES (minimum 03 persons)

Our departure from Cusco, is from five in the morning we are driving three hours towards to small town of Chonta - Limatambo, from where we will walk for about an hour almost flat trail to the viewpoint located on the flank of the mountain above Apurimac River from there we can observe the majestic flight of the condor in the morning ascending up to skies.
